William Perkins, Jr.

 

William Perkins Jr, 61, of Waverly, Virginia, passed away April 4, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Born and raised in Virginia but always loving the road. He was proceeded in death by his parents Carolyn and William Perkins Sr, brother Stephan and son Alan. He leaves behind his wife Lyn Perkins, son Trey, daughters Sarah, Kristen, and Amanda, sister Beverly, nephews Josh and Patrick plus all his beloved grandchildren.

 

The road and his fun, friendly personality led him to a successful career as a driver and then business owner distributing specialty breads from New York down the east coast. Outside of work he loved traveling as far as he could go, exploring nature, cars and especially off-roading. His biggest love was his family and friends, all the grandkids put a special twinkle in his eyes. He would offer you the shirt off his back but only while telling you about each and every grandkid, showing off pictures regularly.

 

As a loved husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and grandpa or “PePa”, he is already greatly missed. We are mourning our loss while trying to take comfort in the fact that he is in a better place, no longer suffering and always watching over us.
