Sandra “Sandy” Bethel Baber, 74 of Goochland left our world unexpectedly on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023.   

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents Elnora Russell and Herbert Baber, and her twin brother Andrew L. Baber. 

She is survived by her “favorite” nephew James “Chris” Baber (Karen) and great-nephew James Baber Jr, all of Mechanicsville, her step-father Jerome Russell of Fuquay-Varina, NC, her step-sisters Cynthia Rogers (Keith) of Memphis, TN and Dottie Russell (Tom) of Birmingham, AL, niece Taylor Burress and great-nieces Kassadie and Kayzlie of Westminster, SC, step-brother Michael “Bo” Russell of Fuquay-Varina NC, sister-in-law Joan Baber of Richomond, VA, her lifelong friend Pat Perry (Gerard) of Montpelier, VA, a host of horse loving friends and several very kind and special neighbors.

Sandy was in the real estate appraisal field for over 40 years, and was employed by KDR Real Estate Services for the last  20+ years. She loved her KDR family. She attended classes, workshops and seminars at J. Sargeant Reynolds, Virginia Commonwealth University and University of Richmond to continue gaining knowledge in real estate appraisals and right of way acquisitions.

Sandy adored her four-legged babies – her daily puppy companions Bella and Missi and her beloved horses Star and Rio. 

A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held 11am, Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Richmond Coach & Cremation Service, 8500 Staples Mill Road, Richmond, VA 23228. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to one of Sandy’s favorite charities in her name: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, James River Horse Foundation or the American Heart Association.
