Roy Phillip Christian, Jr.
Roy Phillip Christian Jr., departed this world peacefully on Dec 23,2022 after a short but very courageous battle with lung cancer. Roy was a U.S Army Veteran and retired from Philip Morris. “Roy” or “Phil” as some may call him was an amazing friend, a devoted mentor and hero to many. Roy was a Papa to many grandchildren who he loved so very much; papa was a hero in their eyes he could truly fix anything. Roy leaves behind his wife (Jacqueline Christian), best friend & driving partner of many years. Roy enjoyed football and never missed a Sunday game if the Redskins were playing. Roy enjoyed his retirement years on the water. With a view of the water just outside his office window, he spent most of his days sightseeing from that office chair-watching his boat, the pool, and making sure that all the birds had proper housing and food. Roy was the dog whisperer, his fur- children Charlie and Riley were his side kicks, and they will forever miss his serious voice ,“get in your crates”. Roy, Phil, Dad, Boo- it’s all the same; he was a breath of fresh air, the light in some of the darkest days; living without him seems merely impossible. Funeral arrangements will be made privately, a Celebration of life will be held in the Spring/Summer of 2023 at his home. Donations are to be made to the Piankatank Shores Civil Association (P.O Box 146, Hartfield, VA 23071) along with (Any) Veteran Services.
