Richard Melvin Bohannan, 59, of Chesterfield, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 10, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine “Kitty”, and his brother, Wayne. He is survived by his three children; Richard Dillion Bohannan (Isabelle), Ashley Elizabeth Bohannan (David) and Nicole Katherine Bohannan; his father, Thomas Melvin Bohannan; brother, Gerald “Jerry” Allen Bohannan (Karen); his sisters Linda Bohannan York, and Helen Elaine Emory (Randy), and half brothers, James LeRoy Cary and Charles Mathew Cary (Candy) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. Richard was born on June 7, 1962 in Chesterfield. Richard enjoyed the great outdoors, including camping and fishing and spending time with his family. He was an avid carpenter who loved working with wood, either in home building or furniture building.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday December 17, 2021 at Richmond Coach and Mortuary, 8500 Staples Mill Road, Richmond, VA, 23228. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday December 21, 2021 at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Road.
