Regina Louise Lutz, also known as Regi, passed away on November 10, 2023, at the age of 58 in Richmond, Virginia. She was born on July 30, 1965, in Long Island, New York. Regina was a loyal and devoted individual who held unwavering commitments and beliefs. She had a passion for traveling and enjoyed the company of like-minded individuals.

Regina leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of her surviving sisters, Johanna Kessler (Tommy Kessler of Stuarts Draft) and Becky Lutz (Mike Payne of Buckingham), as well as her beloved nephews Joey Payne and William Payne. She also had aunts and numerous cousins who will miss her dearly. Regina was preceded in death by her father, George H. Lutz, her mother, Linda H. (Cornetta) Lutz, and her paternal grandparents, George and Elizabeth Lutz, as well as her maternal grandparents, Edward and Frieda Cornetta.

Regina’s educational journey began at Buckingham County High School. She then pursued her undergraduate studies at Emory and Henry College and participated in the sorority – Pi Sigma Kappa. She then completed her Masters in Science in Management IT at the University of Virginia.

Professionally, Regina was currently employed at NewMarket Corporation as their Senior IT Manager. She had previously worked at Alstrom and General Electric, leaving a positive impact on those she worked with.

In her free time, Regina enjoyed traveling. She visited all 50 states and traveled to all 7 continents. She loved spending quality time with her family and friends. Her vibrant personality and love for adventure will always be remembered.

A small family gathering will be held in the Spring to honor and remember Regina.  A larger celebration of life will also take place in the new year.  For those who wish to make a contribution in her memory, please consider donating to a local pet shelter, a cause that Regina held close to her heart.
