Mike grew up as a farm boy in Climax, VA. He worked on a Tobacco farm and loved telling stories about it. In his late teens, he enlisted in the Army and proudly served for 4 years, mostly in Germany. Not long after returning home, he became a truckdriver, but due to health concerns, he decided a career change was needed. It was at this point he went to school while working weekends in the IT department, where he was given the opportunity to go to school and become an IT Technician.
Mike enjoyed fixing computers, fishing, camping, bowling, going to horse shows and football. A proud Miami Dolphins fan. His true passion was NASCAR racing where he was an avid Bill and Chase Elliott fan.
He was a member of Midlothian Baptist Church on Lucks Lane and a proud member of the Maj. Charles A. Ransom American Legion Post 186 and Voiture 53 of Midlothian where he reinstated the Honor Guard. Mike would go there daily, drink coffee and spend time with his buddies, where we all know the stories that must have been told were totally embellished! Please make any donations out to Maj.
