He was a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves, The Pittsburgh Steelers, The Washington Redskins, Washington Capitals, Racing, “Cousin” Carl Edwards, Wrestling, UVA Cavaliers Basketball and many additional sports teams. Chip enjoyed fishing, bonfires, spending time at the “Rivah” and loved listening to music, especially Lynyrd Skynyrd. In his working years, Chip managed a furniture and mattress store, owned a small restaurant and worked in the mortgage industry to name a few. Chip never knew a stranger and could spend hours talking with folks he just met. He invested his time into getting to know others and developing real connections. He loved hanging with his GC crew, where you could find him a few days a week. He was a family man and always showed up for all the many holidays, celebrations and the extra large get togethers. Chips biggest joy in life was spending time with his grandbabies. He was so excited to be “Grandaddy”. Chip also had a strong relationship with his Lord, who he loved and worshipped . Chip is surely in Heaven now, reuniting with all his loved ones, especially his son. Chip had such a huge heart that is now fully restored.
