John L. Holt III, 81, of White Stone, Va., and Glen Allen, Va., passed away April 18, 2023, after a brief illness.

Born and raised in the Richmond area, John was a well-known businessman who spent his career in resort management and development. He was the son of John Leslie Holt, Jr. and Della Wyatt Holt. 

He leaves behind a daughter, Ginny Lynn Eyler, her husband John, and their sons, Aiden, Riley, Connor, and Liam Eyler. He is also survived by his wife, Patty, residing in North Carolina; a brother, Ronald “Tack” Holt, and his wife Debbie. Also, two sons, Jeffrey Holt and Tim Holt, and a grandson, Thomas Holt.

No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.
