James Clyde Porter

James Clyde Porter passed peacefully in his home on October,10,2021 while surrounded by his family and friend’s.
James is survived by his children, Carol L. Porter, Tabatha A. Heyman, James C. Porter III, Belinda G. Glover, his sister, Pat Stone, his brother, Fredrick Porter, as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
 
James was preceded in death by his father James C. Porter Sr, his mother, Onnie T. Porter and his wife, Linda K. Porter.
 
James was born on October,31,1948 in Richmond Virginia to James C. Porter Sr and Onnie T. Porter. He later on married Linda K. Porter and the couple welcomed four children into their home. James then started his career as a professional painter and went on to work for Street & Branch for 40 years.
 
James loved to paint and work on cars. In his free time you could often find him in his garage working on a new project. James always said “Idol hands are the devils workshop”. James always chose to be constructive instead of destructive.
 
James was a kind hearted family man and helped everyone he crossed paths with. James was a man who shared what he had, no matter how much he had. James was dedicated to caring for his family and is loved and cherished by countless people.
 
James has made a positive impact on so many lives and his legacy will be carried for generations to come. James Clyde Porter was a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His company will be missed and his life will be celebrated.
