Herman R. Henley

On September 25, 2021, Herman R Henley made his final transition from labor to reward. He was the son of Benjamin Sr. and Bessie Quarles Henley. He was one of nine siblings. He is a retiree of the City of Richmond, Department of Recreation and Parks. He joined church as an adult and served faithfully until his illness.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude L Henley and two sons, Herman and James. He leaves to mourn his loss: one daughter, Rita H Shepherdson, one sister, Bessie E Henley, several nieces, one devoted, Catherine M Street, several nephews, several step-daughters and step-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Herman has taken the final journey we all have to take and is now resting comfortably in the arms of the Lord.

He will be missed.
