Helen V. Smith born, in Buckingham County in July 1942 and died February 28, 2023.  She resided her lifetime in the deeply rooted Historic Washington Park Community in the City of Richmond.  Helen Smith is predeceased by her mother and father, Peggy (Patty) Vauters and Harold Harper, her soulmate and husband of more than fifty years, Eugene Christopher Smith, and her beloved eldest son Antonio Dennis Vauters.  Helen is survived by her loving and youngest son, William Douglas Vauters.  Her celebration of life will be held at Forest Lawn Rotunda, located on 4000 Pilots Lane, Richmond, VA 23222 at 3 PM on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.
