Frederick Davis Caravetta
Frederick Davis Caravetta of Richmond, Virginia passed away on February 4, 2023, at the age of 86. Fred died peacefully with his beloved wife of 63 years Joan and family by his side.
Fred was the youngest of ten children. Growing up in the depression, Fred knew the value of hard work and the importance of an education. Fred graduated from the University of Richmond in 1960, where he played football and met the love of his life Joan Fawcett.
Fred worked for Philip Morris USA after graduation. When he retired in 1990, Fred had risen to become the Plant Manager of both the 20th Street and Dock Street Facilities.
He is survived by his wife Joan Caravetta; daughters: Joan Jolly and Marian Costin; four grandsons: Kyle Jolly, Mason Jolly, Philip Costin, Reuben Costin, a great-grandson Gabriel Jolly, his sister Cam Leszyk and his two dogs: Heneritta and Sweet Pea.
The family has planned a private memorial in his honor.
