Donald Jerry Silvestro, 85, of Prince George, VA, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. The son of the late Nicholas and Mary Forti Silvestro; he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Silvestro of Chester and Nicholas (Mickie) Silvestro, Jr. of Hopewell.

    Donald was a veteran of the Air Force, and before retiring had owned and operated his own oil company. He had a love for football and spend many years coaching little league in Hopewell.

    Donald is survived by his sister Joan Nichols of Chester, his three children, Donald (Donnie) Silvestro of Prince George; Teri Lynn Carroll with husband, James also in Prince George; and Mark Anthony Silvestro with wife, Renee, in Dinwiddie. He is also survived by 8 grandsons – Damon, Dimitri, & Drake Silvestro; Dalton, Chase, & Luke Carroll; and Brody & Blake Silvestro; and has 6 great-grandchildren.

    The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Monday, March 4 at St James Catholic Church in Hopewell. A funeral service will be held there on Tuesday, March 5 at 11:00 am, with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Chester.
