Deborah Simon

Deborah Eileen Simon, of Chester, Virginia passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2025. She was 72-years old. Debbie was born July 20, 1952, to the late, Carl and Eleanor Ball in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Deborah suffered with Multiple Sclerosis for 36 years.

 

Debbie was a graduate of Conneaut Valley High School, Conneautville, Pennsylvania, Class of 1970.

 

Debbie, pursued a career in the baking and candy making industry where she excelled at making great international pastries along with cooking recipes. Debbie was a long time member of the bakers union at Tacoma, Washington. Debbie privately

published a cook book for the relatives in 1998.

 

Debbie was invested in the Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem through the Priory of the St. Michael and St. George in May 11, 2002 at West Point, New York. Deborah was awarded the Scholarship Medal for sponsoring a student in the Holy Land. She also earned the Long & Faithful Service Medals Bronze, Silver and Gold.

 

Debbie was commissioned a “Kentucky Colonel”; by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Paul E. Patton, on 20 August 2003 for her humanitarian service to the local military community serving the greater Fort Campbell, Kentucky area. Debbie is listed for this event in the national book of Who’s Who for 2003. On Saturday, May 2, 2009, Debbie was knighted as a Lady of “The Royal Confraternity of Saint Teotonio” (RCST) by Count Ulysses Rolim of Portugal at Martinsburg, Pennsylvania, USA.

 

Debbie is survived by her husband Scott, daughters Eileen Carducci, Angela Seeley, her son Scott Simon II, and her beloved grandchildren: Justin Raab, Jeffrey Raab, Josh Carducci, Morgan Carducci, Ryan Seeley, Alexander Simon, and Lily Simon. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her sister, Delphine Glecker, and brother, Darrell Ball.

 

A memorial Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 13028 Harrowgate Road, Chester, Virginia on Saturday April 26, 2025 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to Grace Lutheran Church, Chester, Virginia.
