David Alan Jinnette
David Alan Jinnette, 77, a native of Richmond VA, died suddenly after a brief illness on May 10, 2023. David was born on May 2, 1946 in Richmond VA and graduated from George Wythe High School.
David had over 20 years of military service, first in the Marine Corps and later in the Army.
David was preceded in death by his father, Carl L Jinnette Sr, his mother Frances Whitehead Jinnette Phillips and an older brother C. Leslie Jinnette Jr.

David is survived by a son Christopher David Jinnette, granddaughter Virginia Grace Jinnette and a brother Donald W. Jinnette. David is also survived by nephew Michael Jinnette, nieces Vicki Jinnette Ringer, Valerie Jinnette and Dawn Jinnette Dauley and cousin Manfred Duggins.
There will ba a graveside service on Friday, August 11, at 2pm, with full military honors, at Sunset Memorial Park, 2901 W Hundred Rd in Chester VA 23831. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Marine Corps League. Make checks payable to James M Slay, Detachment 329. Mail to PO Box 245 Charles City, VA 23030.
