Anthony Tanner

June 24-1968 – November 24, 2024

 

On Sunday, November 24, 2024, Anthony Marcellous Tanner, age 56, affectionally known as Tony T., was called home to rest with our Lord and Savior.

 

A devoted son, loving father, best brother, fun loving uncle and friend.  Tony was known for his handsome looks and greyish brown eyes.  Which he claimed memorize everyone in sight!  Born on June 24, 1968 in Richmond, VA to Barbara Gaiters Tanner and the late Lilton Alexander Tanner.  Tony graduated valedictorian of his class in 1986.  Tony is survived by his loving mother Barbara Tanner, daughter Maiyah Tanner, sisters, Samedra Tanner (James), Shelia Zimmerman, Chimera Tucker and brother Lilton Tanner, Jr.  Dedicated aunts Gwendolyn Ross (Douglas), Phyllis Gardner, several other relatives and friends.  

 

Tony accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at God Chaser International (formally Glory to God Ministry).  He loved ministering to lost souls through the word and gospel rap.  He was passionate about football, playing videos, dancing, and family.  Even during his illness, he still found a way to minister.  He created self-help tips on his YouTube channel to help others who had a stroke, see his journey; and let others know not to give up.  If he can do it, they could too.  He found joy spending time with his daughter, family and friends
