William Scott Kimble
William Scott Kimble, 52, went to be in his heavenly home on Saturday November 21, 2020. He was born January 31, 1968 in Richmond, Virginia and spent his younger years in Mosely, Virginia. Scott graduated from Clover Hill High School in 1987.
Scott was survived by his dad Howard Wayne Kimble, his daughter Dori Kimble, his son Joshua Kimble, his son’s mother Melissa Carter, his brother Michael Kimble (Linda), his sister Linda McDaniel (John), his brother Donald Kimble (Gail), his brother James Kimble (Jamie), his girlfriend Tammy Vaughan, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Judith Kimble, his niece Dolly Bullins, and his nephews Bobby Marshall and Brandon Kidd.
Scott served in the Navy as a shore patrol officer in the late 1980’s. His dedication to his Navy days was represented by the naval tattoo that he wore proudly on the side of his neck.
Scott was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the Goochland Hunt Club and was on a weekend hunt trip when he went to be with the Lord. He enjoyed working with leather and making jewelry. One of his career paths took him into mechanics where he went into diesel mechanics. He developed a love for working on cars and would always offer to “take a look” under the hood.
Scott was a man of God and enjoyed reading the Bible. He was currently attending Family of God Church in Chester, VA.
Scott was a loving father, a devoted brother, and the best friend anyone could ask for. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was also a good listener and he loved to talk. There was never a time when conversation was lacking if Scott was around. He could sit and talk with you for hours. If you needed him, he was there. His kind heart and his sense of humor will be missed.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday November 28, 2020 at the Monument Heights Baptist Church, 5716 Monument Avenue, Richmond, VA 23226. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Association.
You are Missed So Very Much
I often sit and think about
The years that have passed by
And of the happiness and joy
That was shared by you and I
I think of all the laughter,
The smiles and all the fun
And, before I even know it,
My tears have once again begun.
For, although it brings me comfort
To walk down memory lane
It reminds me how, without you,
Life will never be the same
