Lucille Robertson

Lucille Robertson of Richmond, Virginia passed away peacefully at home Sunday, September 27, 2020.  She was born in Richmond, VA and spent years raising her family and enjoying her friends in the (Jackson Ward) community.  

She was the daughter of the late Minnie Christian and Forest Battle.  Preceding her in death were her parents, her dear brother Alonzo Battle, her daughter Virginia, her granddaughter Chakila Robertson, her grandson Omar Venable and her husband Isaiah Shelton.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Carrie Shelly and Dorothea (Charles) and her son Alonzo (Margie).  She also leaves to cherish her memory 3 granddaughters, 5 grandsons, a host of great-granddaughters , a host of great-grandsons, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends who affectionately called her “Ms. Lucille”.  

The family would like to thank everyone for your prayers and concern at this time of celebration of “mom’s” life here with us.  

We thank God for this wonderful earthern treasure name Lucille Robertson, who loved us all with such great affection and now has gone home to be with the Lord.

We will all celebrate her life in the near future and will contact you concerning the date.  Be blessed in the name of the one who loves us all (Jesus).
