Peggy Rideout, age 66, passed away peacefully at home with her family on August 27, 2020. She courageously fought breast cancer then metastatic bone cancer since her diagnosis in early 2016. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sibling, and cherished friend to all.

Peggy was born the eldest of six children (two sisters and three brothers) in Detroit, Michigan on May 6, 1954, to Mary and Calvin Musselwhite. She graduated Miami Palmetto High School in Florida and later attended Auburn University. She started her family with the birth of her son born in 1972, who now has a nine-year-old son. Her daughter born in 1989, now has a one-year-old daughter. These children, grandchildren, and her nephews and nieces were her world. Her adoring husband of 32 years was her rock through a tough last few years fighting cancer. Peggy lived in several states throughout her life and has beloved friends and family across the country. Animals and wildlife always held a very close place in her heart. A private memorial will be held at the family’s Richmond home.  A celebration of life is being planned for a later time. Donations may be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
