William Ellis (Bill) Brewer (72) passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. He was born July 30,1948 in High Point NC to the late Ernest Caswell Brewer and Pauline Vogler Brewer. 

After high school graduation, Bill joined the army serving his country, with honor, during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970. He spent his life’s work as a Machinist and retired from the Industrial Machine Shop in Chesterfield, Va. 

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Janet Newsome Brewer; his brothers, Ronald  Brewer of Winston-Salem, NC; Mark (Loretta) Brewer of North Mryrtle Beach, SC; his sisters, Nancy Brewer of Lewisville, NC; Carolyn Bost of Houston, Texas;  Barbara Finch of Raleigh, NC; Lauren (Don) Hurst of Clemmons, NC; brother-in-law, Wayne (Judy) Newsome of Dinwiddie, Va; sister-in-law Judyth (Joe) Conklin of Colonial Heights, Va; along with many nieces and nephews.

Bill also leaves behind his well loved cat and special buddy, “Skittles” who will miss him.

In addition to his parent, Bill was preceded in death by his beloved stepmother, Dolores (Frieda) Brewer; and his brothers, James (Jim) Brewer; and Michael Brewer. 

Bill was a loving husband, son, and brother. He will be deeply missed by all of those who loved him.
