Charles T. Camden

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband and grandfather, Charles T. Camden, who was affectionately known by his family as Poppy. He departed this world on November 14, 2024 at the age of 75, peacefully at his home and surrounded by those that cared for and loved him most. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry T. Camden, Jr. and his mother, Ethyl Virginia McRorie, and a brother and sister, George Campbell and Faye Ann Hicks.

Poppy was a devoted family man, who fiercely protected and cherished his three daughters, Stacie (Neil), Tammy and Brandi; his wife of 57 years, Gayle; and grandchildren, Alesia, Jermaine, Aaliyah, Nicholas, Tre, Sophie, Ahniyah, Kyree, Jayden and Jordyn, above all else. He was a hardworking and dedicated man who ran a successful plumbing company for over 40 years. His work ethic and passion for his craft were evident in everything he did, and he took great pride in providing for his loved
ones.

Poppy was not only a successful businessman, but also a passionate biker who loved his Harley and the freedom of the open road. He enjoyed spending his weekends riding the streets of Richmond, feeling the wind on his face and the sun on his back. His love for motorcycles was only surpassed by his love and dedication to his family.

Those who knew Poppy understood that he was a man of unwavering loyalty and a fierce protector of those he held dear. He would go to great lengths to ensure the safety and happiness of his loved ones. While we are deeply saddened by his passing, we take comfort in knowing that Poppy’s legacy of love, strength, and determination will live on through the generations he has
touched. He will be forever missed, but never forgotten.

A visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 21st at Richmond Coach and Cremation Services Funeral Home, 8500 Staples Mill Road, Henrico, VA from 6 to 7:30pm. A private ceremony will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery. We want to thank Germaine Pollard for his sacrifice and compassionate care of our Dad during this past year. You made his final days filled with dignity, friendship and love. You are the man he would have been proud to call son. A very special thanks to Poppy’s
grandson, Tre, for his love and dedication to Poppy’s care in his final days.

We are grateful beyond measure.

Rest in peace, Poppy. We love you.
