James “Jimmy” “Hambone” Hammill
James “Jimmy” “Hambone” Hammill, 63, entered into eternal rest on September 4, 2024.
Jimmy will be remembered for many things, but his ability to make you laugh and his kind heart are at the top of the list. He always had a joke to tell and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
After his retirement from UPS, he could be found on the slots at Rosie’s, loving on his dog, Kimber Girl, or whistling from the bench as he watched his three grandsons play baseball. Those three boys loved their “Monkey Face Papa”, and he loved them even more.
Jimmy is preceded in by his sister, Brenda Sue Hammill; father Phil Hammill and stepmother, Donna Hammill.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather “Sue Sue” Rowe, son, Cliff “Mowgli” Hammill and his wife Jessica Hammill; former wife and forever friend, Beth Hammill; his three grandsons who lit up his world, Hayden Rowe and Rhett and Ryder Hammill; mother Delores Paige; brothers Al Hammill (Scatcey), Reese Hammill (Renee), and James Reid (Beth); a host of nieces and nephews, family members, and friends.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
In the words of Jimmy, “Gone!”
