David L. Wiltshire, Sr., age 69, passed away peacefully at Bon Secours Community Hospice House on May 31st, 2024, in Richmond, VA, after battling stage 4 metastatic cancer of the colon and liver. He was born April 18th, 1955, in Richmond, VA, the son of Alfred G. Sr. and Helen J. Wiltshire. He graduated from Freeman High School, class of 1973, before attending the University of Richmond, where he graduated with honors in 1978, receiving a bachelor’s in business.

His first job was with ER Carpenter. He quickly transitioned into sales working for Westvaco envelope companies. After doing exceptionally well as a salesman with several different companies, he went to work for Forbo flooring, where he branched off into his own company, Wiltshire Flooring, distributing the Forbo line for the remainder of his career.

David loved being with his family at the beach, spending summers crabbing and fishing on the shores of the Outer Banks, NC at his uncle’s cottage. He loved playing sports, especially golf and cherished his time rooting/coaching his kids on the ballfield. He lived a challenging life but continued to move forward despite his troubles and loved Jesus with all his heart. He brought light to every life circumstance with his charming, sometimes goofy, sense of humor.

David was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, son, husband, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Carla Wiltshire and her family, one brother, Garland Wiltshire and his wife, Jennifer Wiltshire, son, Dave L. Wiltshire, Jr. and his wife, Shannon Wiltshire, daughter, Leah M. Wiltshire, two grandchildren, Easton and Avery Wiltshire and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Extra Billy’s in Midlothian, VA on Sat. June 22, 2024, at 1p.m. for friends and family to gather to share special memories and honor his life. Please come as you are, he wouldn’t have it any other way. He will always be loved and remembered in our hearts.
