Rhonda Anderson
Rhonda Rae Anderson of Chesterfield, VA passed peacefully, surrounded by family on March 28th, 2023. She was 63. Rhonda was born in Alexandria, VA to John Frank Anderson and Charlotte June Moon. Rhonda is survived by her three children Patrick Donovan, Megan Donovan, and Ashley Turner as well as seven grandchildren.
She studied psychology in college and was a retired Phillip Morris Research Scientist. She loved traveling to exotic beaches, but her favorite destination was Nags Head, NC where she visited every year with family and friends. Rhonda was passionate about spending time with her family, always laughing at their inside jokes, and often opening her home to host for holidays. She loved music and dancing, and never missed a Redskins game on Sunday. She never met a stranger and was always the life of the party.
Her children were her best friends, and her grandchildren and grandnephews were the highlight of her life. She was an avid volunteer at her church, coordinating Spirit Squad, Wednesday Worship Meals, and was a member of United Methodist Women. She also co-founded a local mission organization, Moonbeam Missions, with her sister.
She was a binding force that kept her family connected and could always be found hosting, planning, and enjoying family events, birthday parties and cookouts. She was her family’s biggest cheerleader and truly proud of their accomplishments. Though her life was short, it was full of love, wisdom, and kindness. Her infectious laughter and charismatic nature encaptivated those she met. She will be deeply missed.
