Oliver Hudson was born on February 10, 1955 to Minnie Lee and George Hudson.  He attended Lincoln Elementary, Claremont Jr. High, and graduated Oakland High in 1973, where he ran track.  

He united with Star Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend George Henderson, at an early age.

After High School, he attended Pacific Theology College where he received his degree in ministry.

He united with Olive Grove Baptist Church where he became Associate Minister.

In 2010, Oliver relocated to Virginia.  He fell in love with Virginia and decided to remain there permanately where he remained until his death .  He is survived by two sisters, Joyce Randolph and Marta Sloane, both of Modesto, California; two brothers, Maurice Smith of Modesto and Herbert Hudson of San Francisco.  Also nine nephews, Christopher, Van, Malik, Lil Darrual, Toshombia, Edward, David, Abasi, and David.  Five nieces, Sherille, Dawanna, Celico, Tysonia, and Kay.  Two sister- in-laws, Clarice Swartz, and Doretha Tyson, both of Oakland.   He was preceded in death by his mother Minnie Lee, two brothers, Percy and Hosey; two sisters, Mary and Danlette; a nehew, LaQuan; and niece, Missy.
