SLATER, William C Sr., 80, passed away in his Hanover County home on November 5, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother Helen P. Palmore, and his father Ralph F. Slater Sr. and sister Delores J. Puni of Texas. He is survived by his brother (Bubba) Ralph F. Slater Jr. (Rosalie) and his wife of 57 years Margaret C. Slater. Two adult children, son William (Bill Jr.) Slater Jr., daughter Kaye S. Ashworth (Jeff) and grandson Gunner S. Irving. William also is survived by many nieces and nephews.
