Charles Brandon Taylor
Charles Brandon Taylor, 67, of Richmond, Virginia passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 2, 2021 after a long, courageous battle against cancer. Born on March 31, 1954, in Petersburg, Virginia, he was the son of Earl Brandon Taylor and Della Stinson Taylor Hebert.
Affectionately known as “Charlie,” he lived in Henrico County for most of his life. He was a graduate of Hermitage High School class of ‘72 and was passionate about his children attending his alma mater. He also coached Lakeside Youth Baseball for several years and enjoyed teaching children about the love of the game. Charlie cherished vacationing with his family and close friends in the Outer Banks of North Carolina each year.
He left his position as an assistant vice-president at United Virginia Bank in 1984 to start a career in the boating industry in Deltaville, Virginia. During his career of 37 years, he made many life-long friends.
Charlie was predeceased in death by his parents and his step-sister, Phyllis Taylor. Surviving to honor and cherish his memory are his wife of thirty-four years, Deborah Jean Taylor-Duvall; children, Ashley (Michael) Taylor Walker, Christopher Brandon Taylor, Dellaney Jeanne Taylor and step-son, Jeremy Randolph Pace; grandchildren Jayden Angelo Walker and Leila Jeanne Walker, many cousins and close family friends, Jordan M. Ortiz and Christopher R. Manna. Charlie will be incredibly missed by all.
Celebration of Life events will take place on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, 1800 Lakeside Avenue, Richmond, Virginia, 23228 and Friday, March 4, 2022 from 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Deltaville Maritime Museum, 287 Jackson Creek Road, Deltaville, Virginia 23043. Feel free to pay respects at any time during the hours of either celebration.
